Semolina cake is widely known and liked in many families. Very tender with incredible orange aroma, perfect for the afternoon tea or coffee.
100 gram sugar
1 teaspoon salt
250 ml buttermilk
200 gram semolina
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
½ teaspoon baking powder
Zest of one orange
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease baking pan.
In a bowl mix eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla sugar and baking powder until well combined.
Add buttermilk then gradually stir in semolina and flour; mix in orange zest.
Pour batter to the baking pan and bake for 40-45 minutes or until ready.
